Edmond Estate Planning Attorney Wills and Trusts

Estate Planning for Edmond Families

Since moving to Edmond with my wife, Terri, in 1992, this community has been the backdrop of our lives. We raised our three children here—watching them go through Edmond Public Schools and move on to UCO and OSU—and now we get to enjoy seeing our grandkids in those same local schools.

Whether we’ve crossed paths at a law office or on the local sidelines during my years coaching little league soccer and football, you know that I value the relationships and the hard work that define our town. At Winblad Law, I apply decades of legal experience to help my neighbors protect what they’ve spent a lifetime building.

Planning for the Road Ahead

Estate planning is about more than just a single document; it’s about a comprehensive strategy to protect your peace of mind and your family’s future. I have spent my career helping Oklahoma families navigate these important decisions with clarity and care.

  • Wills & Trusts: Creating a solid foundation for your family’s inheritance and ensuring your assets are distributed according to your wishes.
  • Power of Attorney: Appointing a trusted individual to manage your financial and legal affairs should you become unable to do so.
  • Healthcare Directives & Living Wills: Clearly defining your medical preferences and end-of-life care so your family isn’t left making those difficult choices without guidance.
  • Mineral Probate: Assisting with the unique complexities of Oklahoma oil and gas rights when they are part of an estate.

Beyond the Law Office

I believe a good lawyer should be an active part of the community he serves. Terri and I are long-time members of the First Presbyterian Church of Edmond, and you can often find me staying active around town. Whether I’m golfing, hiking, biking, or running, I enjoy everything the Oklahoma outdoors has to offer.

I’m a regular at the Mitch Park or the Rankin YMCA, where I’ve even been known to attend Terri’s water aerobics class. My educational roots run deep in Oklahoma as well; I earned my degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University in 1984 before graduating from the OU College of Law in 1992.
